PhD in Geography from the University of Seville and Forestry Engineer from the University of Córdoba. He also has completed
specialized training in railway technology, management, and leadership.

He has a solid engineering background linked to mobility and the environment, with more than fifteen years of experience in the
public railway sector, holding positions of responsibility in rail traffic and capacity management, institutional management and
negotiations, and involvement in European transportation policies.
Prior to his position as Chief Officer for Operations and Rail Services at Administrador de Infraestructuras Ferroviarias (Adif), he
served as Traffic Director and head of the Traffic Area Directorate between 2024 and 2026, Deputy Director of Southern
Stations—Andalusia and Extremadura—between 2022 and 2024, and Director of Capacity Management and Network Planning
between 2018 and 2022.
Previously, between 2015 and 2017, he served as Managing Director of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV), the
public company responsible for managing and operating the Metrovalencia and Tram d’Alacant networks.
